Fougere is the French language phrase for “fern”.

Fougère perfumes are made with: top-notes are candy, with the scent of lavender flowers; because the extra unstable parts evaporate, the geranium seems, after which the bottom notes: oak moss, woody, sharp and barely candy, and coumarin, just like the scent of new-mown hay, grow to be noticeable.

Simple Fougere Formula
Lavender – recent inexperienced floral
Geranium – spicy rose
coumarin – candy vanilla and dry grass/hay
Oakmoss – deep earthy
